Now I see this piece! And see that you posted it fairly recently. It didn’t come to me. I only see it now because I was looking for some way to nag you because it seemed overly long since you sent word from your beautiful brain.
Regret makes us better. A feather and regret. Another beautiful piece, Abigail. I didn’t see this until now. I always see all of your work. I wonder why?
I don't know, but I think The Bucket may have joined with Substack for a few things. I know there's a new part ofr Sunstack doing a magazine and they took this from The Bucket, a terrific online magazine that published it originally. It's coming out in that magazine next week. I was very flattered.
I will give you the name of the magazine, but I don't know how to rovide a link. I will try! It appears on Wednesday, but I will remember the name of the magazine in a minute. I thinkit';s called Crow's Feet!!
I like this idea…that guilt turns into regret…a softer version of itself, and therefore easier to carry. That feather felt very meaningful to me too…I found my own white feather on a walk and the photo of it appeared at the top of my post about the ‘Forgiveness’ that I wanted from my son for what I perceived as my failing him. He died by suicide so could obviously never give it to me. The link is below:
PS I won’t bombard you with any more links…this is the 3rd one after all. If you have the opportunity to read any of my writing it would be really appreciated!
Abagail, Haven’t heard from you in a while. Don’t forget to write — we miss you.
